Bizarre! Supervolcano's Ash So Hot It Turned to Lava

Ash from an ancient eruption of the supervolcano underlying Yellowstone got so hot as it rushed through the air and hit the ground that it turned into lava before hardening, leaving evidence of a strange volcanic process.
