New RNA-Focused Treatment Could Treat Rare Disease

The disease amyloidosis, in which protein plaques accumulate in the organs of the body, is incurable and fatal. But now researchers may have a way to combat the disease -- a study shows that RNA interference can lower levels of the problematic protein.
